Former MLB star Travis Fryman is parting with his longtime Florida Panhandle home, which hit the market last week for $4.8 million. 

Fryman, a Gold Glove Award-winning third baseman who spent most of his career with the Detroit Tigers and retired in 2002 after his fifth season with the Cleveland Indians, bought the 150-acre property in 1996 for $489,600, according to property records. 

"My wife and I built the house with the intention of raising our family,"

said Fryman, 55, who is now a coach for the Cleveland Guardians organization.
